Significant increase in the recovery of water, energy and/or substances and materials:

The textile industry is one of the most water-intensive using industries in the globally26 and most textile manufacturing plants either do not treat wastewater or treat the wastewater to sub-ZDHC standards (not suitable for landfill). Waste2Fresh will allow treatment and reuse/recycling of water over multiple cycles within the textile manufacturing processes, hence significant recovering most of the water that currently get dumped after a single use.

Waste2Fresh renewable energy generation and storage component will power the Waste2Fresh system and potentially other parts of the textile manufacturing processes. This will free up (recover) significant amount of energy that is currently used to drive the energy-intensive textile manufacturing processes or downstream wastewater treatment operations by third parties or current suboptimal systems within the textile factories.

The Waste2Fresh system will also significantly increase the recovery of heavy metals and salts that can be reused or fed into other applications.

The waste is not heading to landfills.
